"Hippos" or "Pegasus" is the greek version of the babylonian four star constellation IKU. Its main components are red/orange giants and supergiants along with dual star systems. The microbic load of the italian "Horse" (Poggio cavallo) Observatory were collected and placed in colture medium in agar-free petri dishes in order to grow as a reddish viscous substance. Pictures of these dishes were displayed along with a textile sculpture of man riding a horse in front of a star (100x100x20cm) the style of the work is inspired by babylonian and greek illustrations. The sculpture is covered in color changing pH indicators.
